  • Spend intentional time in prayer during the week leading up to baptism.

  • If scheduled, attend the baptism orientation session.

Logistical Preparation

  • Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before service.

  • Bring a change of clothes.

  • Bring undergarments appropriate for water immersion.

  • Bring a towel

  • Avoid heavy fabrics that become transparent when wet.

  • Remove valuables before entering the baptism area.

For Parents of Minor Candidates

  • Review the meaning if baptis with your child.

  • Ensure your child understands this is their personal declaration of faith.

  • Assist them in arriving prepared and calm.

Day of Baptism

  • Check in with the designated ministry leader.

  • Be prepared for prayer before entering the water.

  • Invite family members to witness and celebrate.

After Baptism

  • Continue in discipleship

  • Remain connected to the New El Bethel Baptist church community.

  • Schedule and attend the NEB new members orientation class.
